about

Blood Soaked Phobias is the debut release from composer Andrew Alden. The material reflects experiments with ambient and dark textures that reflect the all-consuming evil inherent within people. The piece is represented in stretched tape loops, circuit bent keyboards, violin, cello, bassoon, vibraphone and orchestral percussion to create long textual landscapes of sound. This album aims to help redefine from the scope of classical compositions and build upon the legacy of Penderecki and other micro-tonal and spectral composers.
